Auspicing and wrap around support

FYA’s auspicing program supports youth-led initiatives by partnering with them to manage financial processes and provide critical mentorship.

This support reduces administrative burden and enables young people to focus on their advocacy and organising, while ensuring initiatives are well governed and resourced.

FYA’s auspicing program acts as a fiscal sponsor for grassroots, youth-led organisations, providing them with the necessary framework to access restricted grants that require Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status.

In 2025, FYA provided auspicing to 17 youth-led organisations working across a range of social justice issues. Alongside financial administration, the program delivered wrap-around support including guidance on fundraising strategy, grant writing, budgeting, network building with funders, and organisational policy. This support was tailored to the needs and stage of each initiative, recognising the diversity of youth-led organising contexts. FYA also extended 1:1 support to organisations and campaigns beyond the auspicing partners, with 12 organisations benefiting from these sessions.
